Stop Looking For Ways to Fall Asleep

There are so many different options out there promoting ways to fall asleep. Discarding pills, weed or other dependent means, the following are popular sleep aids for those who can’t fall asleep:

?     Sleep music

?     Brainwave technology

?     Sleep meditation

?     Insomnia Hypnosis

Sleep music and meditation are a great enhancement for sleep and I have written about the positive benefits of relaxation techniques before. Brainwave technology didn’t work for me, whether that was because it was in the early stages of development when I took a course I don’t know. Perhaps it was because I simply didn’t believe enough. I think with hypnosis and brainwave technology alike there has to be willingness for it to work, a positive thought process going into the treatment and coming out.

I won’t say hypnosis doesn’t work at all as some people have reported good progress, but the positive benefits never seem long term. Hypnosis in simple terms is trickery through mind conditional, and for smoking, obesity and alcoholism it may have a proven success rate, but where sleep is concerned the route of the problem can never addressed with hypnosis.

Sleep is one of the natural bodily processes we are born with. The process can be damaged but it is so vital to life and so embedded within our existence that it can never be broken. When people say to me “I can’t fall asleep”, I feel their pain, but I know within everyone there is a natural cure; thus the reason I wrote the Six Steps to Sleep Now. There is only one documented case of someone who lost the ability to sleep, something I will look at another time. However, 99.9% of human beings never lose the ability to sleep or fix bad sleeping habits.

The different ways to fall asleep listed above may work as enhancements, relaxants, and even placebos. But the body will only respond to what is natural. We must work with our environment, our diet and our circadian rhythms. We must adhere to Mother Nature’s commands. Lifestyle is the biggest contributor to bad sleep, so if you are looking for ways to fall asleep you must address your lifestyle first or you will fail, epically.
